Stiglitz says our protest was necessary

"A program for debt reduction existed for many years, but not many countries managed to qualify for its benefits. In the last year, because of all the popular protests and campaigns, a large number of countries have finally benefited from real reductions. This would never have happened without the protests", former World Bank Chief Economist Joseph Stiglitz is quoted as saying in an interview with Dagens Nyheter (Sweden).
