Peru: The Right to a Decent Life in the City and Less Foreign Debt The Settlements and New Towns Associations and the Ecological Forum supported by Chosica Diocese, the Peruvian Human Rights, Democracy and Development Platform (PPDHDD) and Peru Jubilee 2000 Network are inviting civil society organizations, neighbourhood association leaders and the public in general to an Urban Forum on the issue of foreign debt. The organizers consider that the issue of the foreign debt has to be tackled and therefore support the initiative of challenging the debt via an Ethical Tribunal which would sanction cases of corruption and violation of economic, social and cultural rights.
